Frank J. Gonzales

Professor Frank J. Gonzales is the chief of laboratory of metabolism, Center for Cancer Research, National Cancer Institute, USA. His lab carried out many cloning and expression of rodents and human CYP genes. Prof. Gonzales s team gained great achievement in metabolomics research field as well. His group cooperated with many research teams within NCI and NIH as well as some international laboratories, to search the bio-markers for disease diagnosis, prognosis and treatment etc., such as type II diabetes and cancer. This technology can be used to study drug and carcinogen metabolism, predict drug efficacy and toxicity and disease pathogenesis.

Prof. Gonzalez currently serves as editorial board of Molecular Pharmacology, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Gastroenterology, Molecular Endocrinology, Carcinogenesis, etc. He is one of the founder and editor of Pharmacogenetics. Prof. Gonzalez s group has published more than 960 papers, including the top academic journals such as Cell, Nature, Science, Nature Medicine, Cell Metabolism, Journal of Clinical Investigation, Gastroenterology, Hepatology etc.
